TESTIMONIALS

Just returned from a 5 day break at Manor Bungalow, we've stayed on the site before in our campervan but this time we stayed in the static caravan. It is very comfortable and has everything you need to make your stay a pleasant one, including a massive TV for those rainy days, it was bigger than ours at home! There are two bedrooms a large double with ensuite toilet and washbasin and a bedroom with two single beds, a bathroom with toilet and shower just opposite the two single bedroom, there is also the option of a pull out bed in the lounge making it a six berth. The kitchen is well equipped if you want to cook in the van but if you prefer not to there are plenty of places to eat out. The lounge diner is very comfortable with a large wrap around sofa just great for lounging after a hectic day. The van has a decking area with table and chairs for al fresco dining during the day or under the stars and you will see stars a plenty as there is absolutely no light pollution whatsoever. The site was very quiet with only one touring van on the field (only 5 tourers are allowed so it will never be that busy) perfect peace and quiet but near enough to the typically British seaside town of Skegness if you want a bit of action. The owners Carole and Mark are very friendly and if you are very lucky you might even get some of the delicious cake that Carole makes. Manor Bungalow is highly recommended whether you are touring or want a break in a comfortable static caravan. At the time of writing the static van is only £28 per night and the touring field is only £9 including electric per night.

I don't want to tell you, but I feel I must..

" I don't want to tell you, but feel I must I didn't want to tell anyone about this perfect little site, but that would be so selfish. On arrival we were met by Mark, who talked us through the best place to position ourselves for the best sun. We parked up and was greeted by Carol, whose love in life is mowing grass, The grass was so short and smooth we decided it was much nicer than flooring. A pretty site with flowers and high trees, We loved the ducks, chickens and peacocks who would visit with their babies for food, but were not a bother. We stayed here for 3 weeks and our 5 year old granddaughter Poppie joined us for a week. Poppie loved it here, yes there is a big pond but it is fenced off for protection of the ducks, Poppie loved feeding the ducks and chickens and collecting pretty feathers. Boston is a must visit, The Parrot zoo, a nice few hours out. I loved the talking parrots. Shop for me 15 minute walk, bus stop there and a bus pass into Boston is easy. We loved our stay here . Mark and Carol are perfect hosts. The site is excellent. No toilets or showers, but for £55 a week it's worth so much more. We were even invited to a BBQ on our last night, which made for a very friendly site. It took us hours to pack up and leave, 1 because we didn't want to go, and 2 because every one on site came to say goodbye and have a little chat. Congratulations for getting this caravaning lark so perfect .  31/07/17

Amazing!

I want to be selfish and keep this site a secret but I can't.  Manor Bungalow CL is brilliant, amazing, fantastic....put in any complimentary word you choose. Carole and Mark are a wonderful couple. Unbelievably friendly and helpful. Carole even helped us turn our van to make the best of the sun and put up our awning.  The field is bigger than average but still only has five vans on it so the pitches are large and well spaced. There are peacocks and chickens wandering around. Hens eggs are on sale in the information shed at 80p for half a dozen. There are also geese and pigs but they were either penned or tended to stay close to the house when we were there. All the animals and birds are rescued. The pond is home to rescued koi and a duck. Each pitch has EHU but there are no showers or toilets so you need to have your own facilities. The rubbish, waste and fresh water area is well thought out. The aforementioned information shed has a wealth of local attractions leaflets and useful information. The area is stunning. It's flat so easy for walking yet so full of wildlife including some you would never expect to see....parrots. These come from a nearby parrot sanctuary where they fly free (an attraction well worth a visit.) An owl sweeps along the dyke directly outside the site. We were fortunate to see it several times in the three days we were there. If you want noise, entertainment and a club bar then this is not the site for you. But if you want peace and tranquillity in beautiful surroundings with easy car access to places of interest then you can't beat Manor Bungalow CL.

Just what we like.

.At £9 a night what more do you need. As good as any CL, tidy, plenty of flat pitches. High trees around the site for wind protection, really can't fault it in any way, although if you walk across the site you may find you have a gaggle of chickens following you. Really enjoyed this and we have it on video, quite amusing. Owners really friendly and judging by others on site, they make friends with many of their visitors. Bus stop is a 10 minute walk. We didn't think the parrot zoo sounded exciting, but it really was good. One aviary had around 200 African grey parrots in it, really quite spectacular. All in all....a good site.   10/5/17

Welcoming, peaceful and pretty.

Very pretty, well kept site with lovely little duck pond and picnic benches surrounding it for your use. Watch out for the free roaming hens ducks and peacocks, who love to share your picnics!! Useful information hut with plenty of leaflets and book borrowing service. Mark and Carol are very easy going, welcoming and helpful hosts. Feel almost like part of the family when you have been there for a week. You cannot fault the price at £55 for the week, but definitely worth more!! The local people are also very friendly. Local pub does very good meals and everyone is welcome - no particular dress code. The local shop and Post Office is very well stocked and just a 10 minute walk away and just across the road from there is the bus stop to Skegness or Boston. The Parrot Zoo (or Lincolnshire Wildlife Park as it is now known) is just an easy 1 mile walk away and well worth a day out especially if you have children. Will definitely return as this is one of the best sites we have been on.

Peace

.Booking was easy, £55 for a week, cheap as chips. Lovely welcome from Mark and nice chats in the week. Spotless site. Follow the directions and it's narrow, but plenty of verges if you meet a tractor. Wide easy access.  park where you like, so we did and took advice from Marc as to best pitch. We were visiting friends so can't comment on pubs, but shop in Friskney (3 min drive, 10 min walk) has post office, very well stocked and market in Boston was excellent. Thanks for a great stay Mark, we will return
